Sassenachs

The term 'Sassenach' is one oft used derisively. It can mean anything from a stranger to someone not native to the soil of Caledonia, and being such a colloquial word it is regularly misunderstood to just mean 'foreign'. Originally brought to popularity by the Clan McCaullich in their song Ye Sassenachs by Name - for which the highlanders sung about anyone not from their lofty home; it has since come to be used to defame anyone who is not a Bear.
