Clan chiefs rule the lands which they have been granted by the Privy council. These are often the lands which they and their forebears have lived, grown and died in, however the great clans are often granted wider dominion. Clan Chiefs thus reflect both their people and the nation in their outlook and how they enforce their traditions.

Not all are warriors, not all come down to the great gatherings of peoples - however they are shrewd, know hospitality better than most others and are leaders their clan need.
